Wiring Closet Ventilation Unit
The most cost effective way to lower the temperature in a wiring closet by up to 40ºF (22ºC). Wiring closet heat loads are rising due to deployment of technologies such as VoIP and Power over Ethernet. Many closets where these technologies are being deployed are not designed with adequate cooling. The Wiring Closet Ventilation Unit is a rapidly deployable wall or ceiling mounted heat removal system designed specifically for the wiring closet environment. By exhausting hot air from the closet to an adjacent space, it allows conditioned air (entering through the Air Intake Grill) to cool the load. This budget conscious unit is an excellent alternative to more expensive air-conditioning systems, providing reliable heat removal with the capability to lower closet temperatures by up to 40ºF (22ºC). If plugged into a UPS, it can also be used as a back-up heat removal system to an already existing air-conditioning unit to maximize system availability in the event of a power failure. Dual fans increase availability while LED status indicators and dry contact outputs enhance the unit’s manageability. Selectable fan speeds allow the user to choose between maximum performances.
The only manageable rack heat removal solution. High-density equipment creates an environment where traditional air distribution methods are often not effective. Densely packed enclosures can cause IT equipment to overheat, resulting in downtime. The Rack Air Removal Unit SX captures exhaust heat, returns the warm air to the plenum and eliminates hot spots from the data center. Through automatic fan speed control based upon temperature, the fans will self-adjust for optimal performance. With a unit-mounted LCD display, users can view temperatures at the rack, monitor alarm conditions and adjust unit set points. The integrated network management card allows for remote monitoring and control of the Rack Air Removal Unit SX. This space-saving solution mounts to the back of either the NetShelter SX or VX enclosure, requiring zero U space.
The first product to distribute conditioned air directly into the enclosure. The Rack Air Distribution Unit is a 2U fan unit that works with an existing precision air conditioning system to deliver cool air to the equipment contained in a rack enclosure. The Rack Air Distribution Unit connects into the raised floor and pulls supply air directly into the enclosure. This prevents the conditioned air from mixing with warmer room air before reaching the equipment. The Rack Air Distribution Unit minimizes temperature differences between the top and bottom of the enclosure. It also prevents hot exhaust air from recirculating to the inlet of the enclosure.
Housing equipment with side to side airflow creates many challenges for IT and facility managers, particularly in regards to cooling. Because most enclosures are designed for a front to back airflow pattern, it is difficult to maintain ideal operating temperatures on side to side airflow equipment. The Rack Side Air Distribution Unit allows for greater security and organization by allowing racks to be placed adjacent to one another without impeding airflow.
The Rack Side Air Distribution Unit is a 2U rack mountable air distribution product for networking equipment or servers with side to side airflow. It pulls in conditioned air from the front of the rack and distributes it to the side air intake of the networking equipment. This extends equipment life by providing proper inlet temperatures.
This product is recommended for one or more networking products that are stacked consecutively in a rack. Rack Side Air Distribution Units may be placed above and/or below the networking equipment. Airflow pattern is user configurable via an interchangeable air turning vane.
The only fan tray solution designed specifically for Netshelter enclosures. The APC Rack Fan Tray is a low cost solution that aids in heat removal from a Netshelter Enclosure. The system easily installs into the top of the enclosure and expels heat from the roof of the rack. Wall-mounted enclosures have the additional option of installing the rack fan tray systems in the base of the rack as well. The fan trays are designed to promote bottom to top airflow within the enclosure.

The predictable solution for an unpredictable environment. Mixing of hot and cold air streams in the data center lowers availability of IT equipment. Returning the warmest possible air to the computer room air conditioners increases the efficiency and capacity of the system. The hot aisle containment system ensures proper air distribution by completely separating supply and return air paths. The hot aisle is sealed off using doors and transparent ceiling tiles that extend the width of the hot aisle. Ceiling tiles are available for 300mm, 600mm, and 750mm wide NetShelter Racks, UPS/PDU, and InRow Cooling products.
The world's most adaptable rack air management system. Deployment of high density loads in IT environments can create areas of unpredictable cooling performance. APC’s Rack Air Containment is a modular system designed to work in conjunction with APC NetShelter SX enclosures and InRow cooling units to provide maximum cooling predictability, capacity, and efficiency. By attaching to the rear of the NetShelter SX, air exhausted from IT equipment is forced to pass through the cooling unit where it is conditioned. This ensures that warm exhaust air does not find its way back to the air inlets of installed servers. N+1 and 2N configurations allow for maximum availability. Front containment can also be added to provide additional isolation and noise dampening.
Data center heat densities continue to increase, making it more difficult to provide adequate cooling. The distance between heat sources and heat removal systems must decrease to ensure proper airflow paths. The closer to the heat generation source the air conditioner is, the less likely mixing of hot and cold air streams will occur.
The NetworkAIR IR is a computer room air conditioning system with a horizontal airflow pattern specifically designed for hot aisle/cold aisle configurations. Warm exhaust air is drawn from the hot aisle, cooled, and distributed into the cold aisle, ensuring that equipment inlet temperatures will be constant and adequate for proper operation.
Closely coupling the air conditioner with the heat source produces warmer return air to the system. This increases the heat removal capacity of the system and nearly eliminates the need for make-up humidification.
